September 22, 2006, Newsletter Issue #33: Simplify Your Holiday Decorating

Tip of the Week

Tis' the season to be jolly…and to throw parties. Whether you're hosting a small gathering or a formal black tie event, you've got a lot of work to do. If you find yourself playing the role of hostess or host this holiday season this year, keep your cool; there are ways to make it less complicated! First and for most, you're going to need a tree. If you're out to impress your guests and save time on decorating, kill two birds with one stone by looking into LED artificial pre lit trees.

These trees are simple to assemble and even simpler to decorate—the lights are already on them! In addition, those babies have 200,000+ hours to shine before you have to worry about replacing them. The real beauty is, however, that it'll look like you spent hours stringing lights on these trees. Here are some other simple decorating ideas to make the rest of your house shine as bright as that tree: • Place potted poinsettias and hanging mistletoe around the entertaining room Fill decorative bowls with brilliant ornaments (sans hooks) and place them on tables Go crazy with the candles—they add a festive glow to any room Wrap up empty boxes with gorgeous wrapping paper topped with lavish bows and put them under the tree and in sporadic places around the room
