Why should I consider buying LED lights this Christmas?

LED Holiday Lighting – From the Exception to the Norm

In many cases, advertisers are still referring to LED Christmas lights as the “new alternative” to traditional indoor/outdoor holiday lighting. As time goes by, consumers will probably see a shift and a time when LED holiday lights will be considered the norm, not the exception.

This year, when pursuing the Christmas tree sales, make a mental note of the types of lighting options available. It's a little hard to compare traditional Christmas lighting (think strings of thick, chunky outdoor lights compared to the gentle glow of long-lasting LED lights), because you're going to pay more for LED lights no matter what. However, there's more to the story than just dollars and cents. Your new set of LED lights are going to far outlast any traditional light bulbs so that even if you're spending a little more money, you're really saving in the long run.

The other thing you're going to notice is the quality of the lights. You don't need a house so intensely lit with Christmas lights that it commands the attention of extra-terrestrials. What you need is a house that glows softly in the chilly nights of winter. Oh, and while your house is glowing, your light bill isn't growing. This season, before you buy a new artificial Christmas tree or Christmas tree lights, give some serious consideration to replacing your old lights with LED.
